Musical Morning

A day marking happy childhood - Children’s day celebration focus on students and their enjoyment. The students are divided into different groups and the concerned teachers organise the power packed programme wherein all the students from Pre KG to Grade 2 perform theme based culturals on stage.




PONGAL

The pongal celebration in our school is a true manifestation of rich culture and traditions. The need for worshipping the Sun, the cattle and the science behind the celebration is discussed with the students. Pongal is not a mere celebration but a feel of being a part of nature.



FRUITS DAY

With an objective to create and educate students about the importance and consumption of fruits in their regular diet, the RAFL twinkling stars celebrate Fruits Day in the month of July. The occasion is used to teach students the health benefits of fruits – one of Mother Nature’s most amazing foods. The tiny tots also learn more about the taste, smell, colour and texture of each fruit. Students clearly understand the importance of washing the fruits before eating or cooking and the benefits of eating fresh fruits. Our students are encouraged to bring only fruits and nuts for their morning break . It helps them remain energetic throughout the day. On birthdays, students distribute groundnut burfi , homemade sweets , nuts or palm sugar candy that again shows how health conscious our students are.





COLOURS DAY

“Life is about using the whole box of crayons"

Colours mean different things to different people but in all, colours are worth celebrating and that is why we have a day set aside for Colours Day Celebration. Students glow in different hues and tints of colours and enjoy a memorable learning experience by engaging in painting, craft and collage activities in a lively, vibrant and high-spirited environment.




FUN DAY

"Your imagination gives you the wings with which you can fly high and conquer the entire sky"

We pride ourselves with a schedule that sets the kids to a rhythmic way of learning. A special event like ‘Fun day’ accommodates hands-on and engaging activities that help kids learn many important kindergarten skills such as tenacity, imagination and logic. They learn the rules and routines of the classroom through investigation and exploration . They gain the focus and skills needed for higher classes through non-competitive, fun filled outdoor games which leave them happy, confident and well-prepared for the next step in their education.





KRISHNA JAYANTHI

“THE WORLD'S MOST POWERFUL WORD IS HARE KRISHNA!”

Janmashtami is celebrated as a symbol of the end of darkness and rooting out evil forces. Pre-primary students are dressed in ethnic wear as Radha and Krishna and perform dances and skits to truly communicate the message that "Every moment of life is worth a celebration. The more you praise and celebrate life, the more there is in life to celebrate.”




YOGA DAY

“YOGA IS A LIGHT, WHICH ONCE LIT WILL NEVER DIM. THE BETTER YOUR PRACTICE, THE BRIGHTER YOUR FLAME.”

Yoga is not about exercise but about discovering the sense of oneness with ourselves, the world, and nature. We encourage students to practice regular yoga, an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition, to remain fit and improve concentration. As it is one of our extracurricular activities, students also get the chance to participate in competitions.





SPORTS DAY

Sports Day is a typical event dedicated to all four houses – Brahmaputra, Caveri, Ganga, Yamuna. A well-coordinated March past of all four houses is a treat for our eyes every year. Sports events are conducted, and the winners are awarded by the Chief Guest. Not only their individual achievements are noted, but also the overall championship of houses is given equal importance to develop team spirit. This event has its importance as it is a special juncture where a profound connection between the students and teachers blooms to make their house flag fly high. This leaves an everlasting impression on the minds of students even after they complete their schooling.







INVESTITURE CEREMONY

Once the election for the Head Boy, Head Girl, Associates, and prefects is conducted, the campus gets ready for a vibrant celebration. The investiture ceremony is one of the most important ceremonies of our school. It is a platform to showcase the leadership skills and abilities of our students. Year after year, it reminds us of the trust and confidence that we repose in our newly elected cabinet. They all pledge to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities and abide by the rules and regulations of the school. Not mere words, through actions, our elected members play their role responsibly to volunteer for the various activities and events of the school.




ANNUAL DAY

Annual Day is an occasion for celebration, felicitation, feast, and festivity where students present their wonderful performances. The whole programme revolves around one theme, specifically eminent personalities like Swami Vivekanandha, Bharathiyar, Kamarajar, Velu Nachiyar, Rajendra Chola, Subhash Chandra Bose and players like Milka Singh. Through skits, dance and music, our students depict the life of the legend from childhood through the various stages of life. It is an expression of creativity and imagination portrayed by the students. We celebrate this day with great zest and enthusiasm.





Rajendrans' Infospark

Textbooks pave way for learning yet that alone can’t aid the students to achieve their goals. BEYOND THE BOOK learning happens through the project presentations every year in the month of August. All the students of Grade 6-9 explore a lot and bring out the best during the two day celebration of Rajendrans' Infospark. Parents, visitors from other schools and the public have always encouraged the efforts taken.





Traditional Day

RAFLites dedicated a day to celebrate the rich tradition and culture of this great land. The staff and students attended school in ethnic attires, girls-long skirts, half-sarees, sarees, boys-dhotis, kurta-pyjamas. Students had more fun with friends , fostering cultural appreciation and teaching social awareness beyond textbooks and it enabled them to learn tradition, culture, folklore, songs, dances, crafts and games.





Thanks giving day

RAFLites observed ‘Thanksgiving Day’ to record their gratitude to the service staff and school bus drivers and conductors.Students organised various fun activities for the helpful staff. They read out notes of thankful reminiscences of their assistance. It was an overwhelming day for everyone. Thanksgiving day celebrations taught the students the value of gratitude and respect.





Founder’s day

With much reverence, Rajendranites observed Founder’s Day on November 18. The students gathered for a solemn remembrance service to honour our founder, Late Thiru. Rajendran. Our Managing Director recounted some anecdotes from our founder’s life. Students were reminded of the legacy behind the roots of the institution.


Not only these celebrations but also the Traditional Day to respect the rich traditions of our nation and to learn the science behind them, Thanksgiving Day to express the gratitude to the support staff – drivers, conductors, helpers and security, Grandparents Day to make the bond between grandparents and grandchildren stronger, Founder’s Day to pay respect to the founder Thiru.S.K.R.Rajendran who has brought light in the lives of thousands of rural children make our school a better place for students get a holistic education, an education to mind and body.






Mozhigalin Sangamam

Mozhigalin Sangamam, highlighting the importance of languages, helps promote linguistic diversity and appreciation for various languages and their contributions. By having children from grades 3 to 5 stand on the stage and expose themselves, our school effectively helps students overcome stage fright and develop confidence as performers.
